About Vicky

​Vicky Walklate is a romance, fantasy and historical fiction author. She lives with her family in Norfolk, UK, and adores books about romance, magic, found families and Happy Ever Afters. She loves monsters and villains, and can't get enough of the enemies to lovers, forced proximity, villain redemption and grumpy versus sunshine tropes.

Book 1 of her debut fantasy romance series, featuring a grumpy dragon shifter and his rebellious human sacrifice, is out now with Champagne Book Group and was a finalist in the Book Bloggers' Novel of the Year Award 2022. The first book in her Regency mystery series is also out now with Champagne Book Group. Vicky also has a self-published monster romance series on the go, with Books 1 and 2 out now and more to follow in 2023.

When she’s not writing, she morphs into a giant bookworm, eagerly devouring books of all kinds, especially romance. She's a keen beta reader and is now offering her services to other authors via Fiverr. She can also be found walking or training her madcap dog (who managed to get in on the author photos), daydreaming or stocking up her tea and gin supplies. Sometimes all at once.
